Wilderness Transformation
May 28, 2026John 20:19 (NKJV)
“Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, ‘Peace be with you.’”
The disciples were shut in by fear, but locked doors could not keep the risen Christ out. Jesus greeted them with peace. He stood in their midst and spoke the very thing they lacked.
This is His way. When fear has closed you in, when uncertainty has clouded your next step, or when doubt tries to make you hesitate, Jesus comes and stands in the middle of it all. His presence breaks the spirit of fear. His peace comes to restore your stability. His voice calls you out of paralysis and back into faith.
Through Jesus’ resurrection fear does not get the final word. The risen Lord still enters shut places, still steadies trembling hearts, and still leads His people forward in His peace.
Declaration
I declare that God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?
I will not be anxious, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, I will make my requests known to God.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard my heart and my mind through Christ Jesus.
When fear rises, I will trust in Him.
When my heart trembles, His peace will steady me.
When uncertainty surrounds me, the risen Christ stands in the midst and says, “Peace be with you.”
I declare that my heart will not be troubled, and it will not be afraid.
Jesus has overcome the grave.
Fear does not get the final word.
The Lord is with me.
His peace is upon me.
My heart is quieted, strengthened, and kept in Jesus’ mighty name.
Amen.
