Song of Songs 2:11 (LSB)
“For behold, the winter is past, The rain is over; it is gone.”
I heard the Lord say,
“The grace has lifted.”
As I meditated on this, I sensed the Lord speaking about this change of season. The grace that sustained the previous season has accomplished its purpose.
Abraham “went out, not knowing where he was going” (Hebrews 11:8). He did not receive grace for the entire journey all at once. He received grace for each step of obedience, and each successive step unfolded God’s purpose.
Fresh grace is found as you faithfully follow the Lord. Seek His direction through His Word and by His Spirit. Trust Him and obey each step He makes clear. He will supply the grace required for every assignment He entrusts to you.
Then I sensed the Lord speaking from another perspective.
The Lord is patient, and His mercy calls people to repentance. He is slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness, giving opportunity for hearts to turn back to Him. His patience has purpose. His mercy has an appointed season. His justice is established according to His perfect timing.
There are those who have continually resisted what the Lord Himself has established in your life and have opposed what He has anointed. Nothing has escaped His notice. Every accusation, every act of opposition, every hidden scheme against you has remained fully visible before the Judge of all the earth.
I heard the Lord say again,
“The grace has lifted.”
The Lord is saying,
“My mercy has called them. My patience has waited for them. I have given opportunity to turn from their scheming. I have given opportunity to repent. The measure of My patience and the fullness of time belong to Me.”
There comes an appointed time when the Lord Himself determines to act. The Judge of all the earth upholds righteousness, vindicates His purposes, and accomplishes His justice according to His perfect will.
Romans 12:19 (LSB)
“Never taking your own revenge, beloved—instead leave room for the wrath of God. For it is written, ‘VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY,’ says the Lord.”
If you have carried the weight of unjust opposition, entrust your cause to the Lord. Vengeance belongs to Him. He knows when mercy has completed its appointed work, and He knows when justice must be revealed.
The season has changed.
Walk confidently into the fresh grace He is providing for your next assignment, and leave every matter of vindication in His hands.
The Lord catches the little foxes that spoil your vineyard (Song of Songs 2:15). Nothing has escaped His notice. He remains faithful to complete what He has begun in you, uphold what He has spoken over you, and establish His righteous purposes for you in His perfect time.
