He Does All Things Well
September 2, 20261 Samuel 3:19 (LSB)
“Thus Samuel grew, and Yahweh was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground.”
God is raising a prophetic generation in His presence.
When corruption enters the priestly house, when His house is treated with contempt, spiritual position is abused, and defilement is brought into the house of God, God raises those who will faithfully carry His Word to that same house. While judgment was approaching Eli’s house, “the boy Samuel was ministering to Yahweh before Eli” (1 Samuel 3:1).
While corruption was being exposed, God was preparing a prophetic voice. Samuel was lying down “in the temple of Yahweh where the ark of God was” (1 Samuel 3:3). He remained close to the presence of God.
1 Samuel 3:11 (LSB)
“And Yahweh said to Samuel, ‘Behold, I am about to do a thing in Israel at which both ears of everyone who hears it will tingle.’”
The Lord declares, “I have called your name. I am forming the prophetic voices for this hour, and your authority will flow from your intimacy and proximity to Me. Your prophetic voice will carry holy reverence for Me because you have learned to tremble at My Word.”
God is restoring purity to the prophetic. He is raising prophets who will speak what they hear from Yahweh with clean hands and pure hearts. They will carry His heart above personal ambition, His Word above popularity, and His presence above platforms.
Samuel’s first prophetic assignment required courage. God gave him a difficult word concerning the very house in which he had been raised. Samuel faithfully delivered everything Yahweh had spoken. The purity of the prophetic requires voices who love God enough to speak His Word faithfully, even when that Word confronts what has become established within His house.
To the remnant prophets God has been preparing in His presence: Yahweh is with you, and He will let none of your words fall to the ground. You have learned to listen before speaking. You have learned to serve in hiddenness. You have remained near His presence. Now speak faithfully what He gives you. Carry His Word without dilution. Let the authority of what He has spoken remain established regardless of the response of those who hear it. Yahweh Himself established Samuel as His prophet, and Yahweh will establish the voices He has prepared for this hour.
Remain near His presence. Guard the secret place. Keep your heart pure. Listen carefully. Speak faithfully. Carry His presence with reverence.
God is raising prophets of His presence, and He is restoring purity to the prophetic.
