Isaiah 49:25 (TLV)
“For thus says ADONAI: ‘Yes, captives of the mighty will be taken and the prey of the tyrant will be freed. For I will oppose your adversary. I will save your children.’”
You may be feeling you have lost your best years. The enemy may have stolen the time you saw as your prime, but the Lord is saying, “Your latter shall be greater than your former!”
The Lord Himself confronts the powers that hold His people captive and secures their release. He will contend with those who contend with His people!
God is able to redeem the time that has been lost through opposition and recover what has fallen into the hands of the enemy, even when the opposition has appeared too powerful to overcome.
The enemy may have stolen time and held your fruitfulness captive for years, but Yahweh declares that He will contend with the adversary. He is able to bring restoration to what has been devastated and fruitfulness to what has felt like failure. The years ahead remain in His hands. He is the God who promises to restore the years the locust has eaten (Joel 2:25).
Throughout Isaiah 49, we see Zion moving from desolation into restoration and enlargement. The places that once lay devastated become too small to contain the increase. God is able to bring forth a future so fruitful that it exceeds what was experienced before.
The Lord is speaking to those who have endured years of opposition, loss, and prolonged waiting. He has seen what was taken, what was withheld, and what has been delayed. He knows the years that have been consumed by battles and the fruitfulness that has been hindered along the way.
What was stolen will be RESTORED. What has been withheld will be RECOMPENSED. What has been delayed will be RELEASED!
Stand firm in what God has spoken. Come into agreement with His Word and prepare for the fruitfulness of the calling and destiny He has placed upon your life. The Lord is able to redeem the years, restore what has been lost, and bring His purposes to fulfillment. Your years are in His hands, and His power to redeem and restore remains unchanged.
Your latter shall be greater than your former!
