We are living in prophetic days. The Bible says there is a season of the latter rain—a final outpouring of God’s Spirit before the return of Christ.
Ask Yahweh for Rain in the Season of the Latter Rain
“Ask Yahweh for rain in the season of the latter rain. For Yahweh is the Thunderstorm-Maker. He will give them the outpouring of rain, causing the grain of the field to flourish.”, Zechariah 10:1 TPT
The season of the latter rain is now.
“Then afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on everyone. Your sons and daughters will boldly prophesy, your elderly will have supernatural dreams, and your youth will experience ecstatic visions. And I will even pour out my Spirit in those days upon every servant, both male and female.”, Joel 2:28–29 TPT
Notice how Joel’s prophecy speaks of your sons, your daughters, your household. The outpouring is not only global, but deeply personal as well.
How do we know it is the time of the latter rain?
Hosea 6:2–3 makes a prophetic connection that many Bible teachers, revivalists, and early church fathers have seen when aligned with 2 Peter 3:8 and Psalm 90:4.
“So, dear friends, don’t let this one thing escape your notice: a single day counts like a thousand years to the Lord Yahweh, and a thousand years counts as one day.”, 2 Peter 3:8 TPT
“For a thousand years in Your sight are like yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night.”, Psalm 90:4 AMP
“After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His presence. Let us know, let us press on to know Yahweh. His coming forth is sure as the dawn; He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain that waters the earth.”, Hosea 6:2–3 TPT
After two days (two millennia): He will revive us with His latter rain → pointing to the conclusion of the Gentile age.
On the third day (the third millennium): God’s people will be raised up to “live before Him” during the Kingdom Age — the Millennial Reign of Christ (Revelation 20:1–6).
We are standing in the season of the latter rain. Yahweh invites us to ask Him for rain in this very season of the latter rain — two millennia from Christ’s unveiling, ministry, death and resurrection.
This is not just a prophecy about a distant future — it is a present call:
- Ask Him to pour His Spirit out on you.
- Ask Him to pour His Spirit out on your household.
- Ask Him to pour His Spirit out on this generation.
