The Set Time of Favor Has Come
March 13, 2026Jeremiah 1:12 (KJV)
“Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.”
In Jeremiah’s vision, the Lord showed him the branch of an almond tree. In Hebrew, the word for almond is shaqed, and the word for “watching” or “hastening” is shoqed. It was a prophetic wordplay.
The almond tree was known as the awakening tree. It was the first tree to bloom, often in the middle of winter, announcing that spring was coming even while everything still appeared barren.
Through this imagery, God reveals something powerful: He is watching over His word, awake and alert, ready to hasten it into fulfillment. Even when the season appears silent, God is actively watching over the promise He spoke.
And when the appointed moment arrives, breakthrough moves suddenly with divine speed.
The Lord is saying:
“I have not forgotten the word I spoke over your life. I have been watching over it the entire time. And now I am hastening it. What I have promised you will begin to move quickly. Prepare for a swift shift into divine acceleration.”
Get ready. Just as the almond tree blooms suddenly in the cold of winter, the promises of God can emerge in a moment when you least expect it and come rapidly into view.
The God Who Watches Over His Word Is Also the God Who Hastens It to Fulfillment
