Watch God Move. This Is Your Season of Open Doors and Restoration.
February 15, 2026Isaiah 61:2 (NIV)
“To proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God…”
The Lord’s favor is His good pleasure. His delight. His voluntary will toward us. And it is always for His glory. His favor is something we align with.
Scripture reveals favor is covenantal. It has structure. It has architecture.
If we want to grow in the favor of God, and sustain it, we must understand what attracts it, and what it attaches to.
Favor Attaches to Alignment
Psalm 84:11 (NIV)
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.”
The Lord is Sun and Shield, honor that shines and favor that covers. But notice the condition: No good thing is withheld from those whose walk is blameless.
A blameless walk is integrity. It is truth in the innermost being. It is refusing blame-shifting. It is allowing the Spirit to search you, correct you, and refine your motives.
The world is impressed by outcomes.
The Kingdom is moved by motives.
When the matter is Kingdom matters, the why and the how matter more than the what.
Without a blameless walk, you cannot carry sustained favor. But where integrity remains, favor finds a landing place.
Favor Is Attracted Through Humility
Proverbs 3:34 (ESV)
“Toward the scorners he is scornful, but to the humble he gives favor.”
Favor is not chased. Favor is attracted. It flows toward low places.
Scorn is pride with a voice. It resists correction. It mocks instruction. God will not empower defiance, but humility draws God near.
Humility is becoming less occupied with self and more yielded to Jesus. The King Himself is gentle and lowly. When we come to Him and learn from Him, humility becomes our posture, and favor becomes our portion.
Where humility is real, favor increases. Where pride remains, favor halts. Favor cannot grow in soil hardened by self.
Favor Is Sustained by Loyalty and Kindness
Proverbs 3:3-4 (NLT)
“Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation.”
Loyalty is established trustworthiness. Reliable. Steady. Wholehearted. Not divided, or chasing the next stream because of fear of missing out.
In an age of hype and highlight reels, the Kingdom still honors covenant consistency. God loves purity and truth in the inward parts. Loyalty is not just showing up. It is being present in heart, not just in deeds.
Scripture says then you will find favor with God and people. Favor grows where loyalty stays. Kindness guards the way favor is carried, because favor without kindness becomes harsh, and influence without love becomes noise.
Favor Grows With Wisdom
Proverbs 8:35 (NKJV)
“For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from the Lord;”
Luke 2:52 (NKJV)
“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.”
Proverbs 4:7 (NKJV)
“Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.”
Wisdom and favor run together. Even Jesus increased in wisdom, stature, and favor. That is the model.
Wisdom is principal. First in rank. Chief. Choicest. It must be found. It must be sought. It must be asked for.
Many can stir the favor of man through mechanisms, but only wisdom protects the favor of God. Revelation must always be filtered through wisdom and spiritual understanding. The Lord’s way is long-haul. Mustard seed growth. Oak-tree formation.
Wisdom keeps you from planting a fraudulent seed and then trying to sustain what God never initiated. Favor may open doors. Wisdom discerns which door is God.
The Difference Between Favor of Man and Favor of God
You can build momentum through personality, networking, strategy, and influence. But if the foundation is misaligned, the structure will not stand.
The favor of man may lift you quickly.
The favor of God forms you slowly.
The favor of man can be pushed.
The favor of God grows.
The favor of man must be maintained by effort.
The favor of God is sustained by His wind.
If you build beyond the measure of wisdom and alignment God has formed in you, you will eventually need to grow, in your own effort, what He never breathed on.
But when His favor rests upon your life, and the structure is sound, you do not have to strive to sustain it. His pleasure carries it.
Favor is structured:
Blamelessness aligns you.
Humility attracts Him.
Loyalty sustains what He entrusts.
Wisdom protects and directs.
Favor is His good pleasure. Favor is covenant. And this is how it increases and remains.
When your life becomes a place where His pleasure can rest, favor will not need to be chased, it will remain.
