Trust the Lord to Direct Your Path
July 16, 2026Job 5:9 (LSB)
“Who does great and unsearchable things, Wonders without number.”
Throughout Scripture, El Shaddai reveals Himself as the Almighty God who accomplishes works beyond human ability.
1. God’s works are great.
The Hebrew word speaks of works that are vast, weighty, and beyond human ability. Scripture consistently reveals God as the One who acts on a scale that no person can accomplish.
2. His ways are unsearchable.
The word translated unsearchable carries the idea of something beyond our ability to fully investigate or comprehend. We can truly know God, yet we will never exhaust the depths of His wisdom, power, and purposes.
Romans 11:33 (LSB)
“Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!”
3. His wonders are without number.
God is never limited to one miracle, one breakthrough, or one display of His power. His works continually overflow throughout creation, redemption, providence, and history.
Psalm 40:5 (LSB)
“Many, O Yahweh my God, are the wondrous deeds You have done…”
God does great things. His great works are beyond our understanding. They become wonders without number.
We often seek understanding before we choose to trust. Scripture invites us to trust the character of God even when His ways remain beyond our understanding.
The Lord is able to accomplish far more than we can foresee. He is never limited by the obstacles that limit us. His wisdom reaches beyond our understanding, and His power extends beyond our expectations.
Trust Him with what you cannot yet see. He is already working in ways that exceed your understanding and accomplishing His purposes with perfect wisdom. As you continue to trust Him, you will discover that His wisdom never fails, His power never diminishes, and His faithfulness continues to produce wonders that testify to His glory.
