Nothing Missing. Nothing Lacking.
January 30, 2026John 1:43
“The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, ‘Follow Me.’”
John 14:3
“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.”
Before your heart ever turned toward Him, His eyes were already on you. It began with His love finding you. Jesus did not wait for Philip to seek Him out or prove himself worthy. Scripture says Jesus found him. Your story did not begin with your effort, it began with His love. It began with being chosen. He called your name.
When Jesus said, “Follow Me,” He awakened destiny. He called forth identity. And just as with Philip, He turned the direction of your life toward purpose. The beauty of His call is not only that it began your journey, but Jesus also promises to complete it.
In John 14:3, He says, “I will come again and take you to Myself.” This is not simply a distant future promise. It is a present assurance that you are not forgotten, not abandoned, and not left to find your way alone. The One who calls you is the One who keeps you.
He does not only prepare a place for you, He prepares you for His presence. His Spirit is at work within you, shaping your character, healing your wounds, restoring what was broken, and strengthening what was weak. He is forming you into one who belongs with Him and reflects His heart. The same love that found you is the love that will finish its work in you.
The same love that called you is the love that keeps you.
The same love that began your story is the love that will finish it.
He keeps you.
He sustains you.
He completes what He begins.
Your life is being made ready for His presence, wrapped in the miracle of His faithful love.
