The Risen Christ Still Stands in the Midst
May 29, 2026Ezekiel 47:9 (NKJV)
“And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live.”
In Ezekiel’s vision, the river began as a small stream flowing from the sanctuary, but it continued to deepen until it became a mighty river that could not be crossed. Wherever the water touched, healing, restoration, fruitfulness, and life emerged.
This is a picture of the Holy Spirit flowing from the presence of God. The Lord is drawing His people beyond shallow Christianity and into deeper surrender, deeper intimacy, and deeper dependence upon Him. What begins ankle deep must eventually become a river that fully carries us.
Where the River flows, dead things live again. Fear loses its grip. Weariness is refreshed. Hearts are restored. Healing springs forth. Provision appears in barren places. The presence of God changes everything it touches.
Psalm 1 declares that those planted by the rivers of water will continually bear fruit and their leaves will not wither. When our lives remain rooted in His presence, we become stable even in difficult seasons.
The invitation is simple: stay near the River. Remain connected to the Lord. Abide in His presence daily. The deeper you go in Him, the more His life will flow through you to others.
Declaration
I declare that I will remain planted by the River of God. His presence refreshes me, heals me, strengthens me, and causes my life to bear lasting fruit. Wherever His River flows in my life, restoration and life will follow.
