God Is Preparing a Dwelling Place for His Glory

Revelation 22:1 (LSB)
“And he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb.”
There is a pure flow coming from the throne of God.
Floodwaters from the throne of heaven have been pressing forward, ready to be released across the land. Yet the flow has been restricted through massive man-made structures within the Church, structures that have sought to contain, regulate, and control the movement of the Spirit.
As restriction has increased, mixture has entered the flow and the water has changed color. What comes from the throne is clear as crystal, yet what has reached the other side has carried the contamination of the structures through which it has been forced to pass.
What God desires to release freely and purely has been filtered through what man has constructed to manage His flow.
Now comes the fire of God.
The Lord is bringing a thorough purification and restructuring within His Church. His refining fire is dealing with systems of control, mixture, and manipulation that have restricted the movement of His Spirit. He is preparing a people with clean hands and pure hearts who can carry what flows directly from His throne with purity.
God is bringing a work that reaches to the foundations of existing structures. He is shaking what can be shaken and removing what has stood between the Source and the flow. The River that proceeds from His throne is “clear as crystal,” and God is preparing His remnant to carry the purity of His outpouring into the earth.
Ezekiel saw a River flowing from the sanctuary of God. Wherever the River went, life followed.
Ezekiel 47:9 (LSB)
“And it will be that every living creature which swarms in every place where the river goes will live… and everything will live where the river goes.”
We are coming into a widespread release of the Spirit of God. In Ezekiel 47, the River progressively deepened, from the ankles, to the knees, to the loins, until it became “a river that could not be crossed” (Ezekiel 47:5). What the Lord is about to release is the beginning of the flow, and the waters will deepen as the River continues to increase.
The Lord is saying:
“Pray earnestly for purity in the flow.”
We are called to the walls. There is an intercessory assignment upon this hour. Pray for clean hands and pure hearts. Pray for pure vessels, pure prophetic voices, pure worship, pure ministry, and faithful stewardship of His presence. God is preparing a people who will carry His presence with His character and allow the River to flow through them without mixture.
Psalm 24:3-4 (LSB)
“Who may ascend into the mountain of Yahweh?
And who may rise in His holy place?
He who has innocent hands and a pure heart…”
The River proceeding from His throne is “clear as crystal.” Its Source is holy. Its nature is life. God requires a purified people so that what flows through His Church carries the purity of what proceeds from His throne.
The fire of God is preparing the way for the River of God. Chains are falling. Structures that have restricted the flow are giving way. Gates are opening, and the pure water of life is about to be released across the land.
Pray earnestly for the hour at hand. Prepare your heart. Make room for the River. The waters are going to deepen.
