The Court Is Seated. The Verdict Is in Your Favor.

Daniel 7:9-10
“I watched till thrones were put in place, And the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, And the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, Its wheels a burning fire; A fiery stream issued And came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, And the books were opened.”

Notice these terms: “the court was seated” and “the books were opened.”

Daniel is seeing into the unseen realm. He is witnessing a functioning heavenly court.

Further in Daniel 7:26, we see that when the court is seated, the outcome of the judicial proceeding is this: the dominion of the satanic powers operating against the people of God is taken away.

Revelation 19:11 says,
“Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.”

Notice the order: Jesus judges, then makes war.

Zechariah 3, Job 2, and Revelation 12 are among the scriptures that reveal to us that Satan accuses us day and night in the presence of God. He uses our sinful nature, along with curses that have entered through our bloodline (as far back as the fourth generation) to accuse us before God.

But as Jesus demonstrates, we are to first judge the accusations against us, and then make war against the kingdom of darkness.

Jesus is declaring that He and us together, will judge anything that stands against His purposes for our lives. From that place, we can step into our position as co-heirs, render decrees, and wage war against the kingdom of darkness that seeks to assault us.

Colossians 2:14 tells us:
“…God made you alive together with Christ, having freely forgiven us all our sins, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of legal demands which were in force against us and which were hostile to us. And this certificate He has set aside and completely removed by nailing it to the cross.”

Therefore, even though the enemy accuses us day and night before God, he does so illegally.
The sins of our sinful nature are forgiven. We are washed clean by the blood of Jesus.
The curses that came through the bloodline, the certificate of debt, the certified legal demands, that class action against God’s people, were nailed to the cross.

Prayer

Father, we thank You that You are the Ancient of Days, the Judge of all the earth, who rules with righteousness and mercy. We honor You from this place and rest in the favor granted to us by the blood of Your Son, Jesus.

Lord Jesus, as we stand before the courts of heaven, we agree with what is written in our books. Let Your divine purpose be fulfilled concerning us, and let every word You have authored over our lives come to pass.

We come into agreement with the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than the blood of Abel. Let every opposing voice be silenced, and every legal accusation against us be revoked and annulled by the power of the cross.

Thank You that You are the Mediator of the New Covenant, and that Your finished work has secured our right to receive all that You died for. We agree with Your intercession through the Holy Spirit, and we commit ourselves to remember and honor Your sacrifice on the cross for us.

May all that You purchased be fully realized in our lives, for Your glory.
